With another year behind us working to reconcile former prisoners with society and society with former prisoners, the Buell Street Dismas House (Burlington) and the East Allen Dismas House (Winooski) invite you to join us at our 37^th Annual Community Celebration. We have much to rejoice and expect to do so with 300 attendees and two musical sets from Vermont’s notorious and soulful Kat Wright.

To date, 2,039 prior offenders have been provided a therapeutic community and a safe and sober home for up to two years with Dismas of Vermont while they find work, set and meet goals, and repair relationships. 90% of Dismas residents did not get arrested for a new crime. The generous support of our community is what makes all of this possible.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester. It will feature two sets from Kat Wright, resident speakers, and awards for exceptional volunteerism. This year’s awardees include:

Richard Gagne: The Jack Hickey Award to recognize his 40 years of service to the Dismas mission

The First Congregational Church of Essex Junction: The Ann Atherton Award for exceptional volunteerism
